CoachTools 25 Under 25 Spotlight: Collin Bentley

At CoachTools, we are thrilled to announce another exceptional young professional recognized in our 25 Under 25 list: Collin Bentley. Collin’s journey is a testament to his versatility, passion, and dedication to mentoring young athletes.

From Finance to the Football Field

Collin Bentley graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, concentrating in Commercial Banking, from the University of Alabama in July 2021. His academic excellence and keen analytical skills laid a strong foundation for his professional journey. However, Collin’s passion for education and football led him to a different path. Currently, Collin is a mathematics teacher and football coach at Shorter University in Rome, Georgia.

Shorter University and the Shorter Hawks

Shorter University, home of the Shorter Hawks, competes in intercollegiate sports at the Division II level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Located in Rome, Georgia, Shorter University boasts a strong athletic program with 22 varsity sports teams. The Hawks have primarily competed in the Gulf South Conference since the 2012-13 academic year.

Shorter University’s athletic program has a rich history, transitioning from a powerhouse at the NAIA level to becoming a full NCAA member in the 2014-2015 academic year. The university continues to uphold NCAA Division II rules and regulations, using the NCAA brand for its promotional and recruiting purposes.

Collin’s journey from finance to football coaching highlights the importance of following one’s passion and making a difference in the lives of others. His dedication to mentoring young athletes and his commitment to their overall development make him a role model for aspiring coaches and professionals.
